In my ten years of working within the web development industry, I have never meet a client that has not requested their site be simple and clean. There a common elements that all of the people I have worked with dislike and below I have outlined just a few of the main ones.
Common Website dislikes:
- Pop up windows that need to be closed.
- Large blocks of important text on a hard to read background
- Slow websites
- Flash introductions with no purpose
- Unnecessary and continuous running animations that is distracting
